Laura Linney has been hailed as one of America's most well-known actors. She is known as a strong actress but also fragile. After spending the summers at the company of her father Laura Linney fell in love with theatre. After that in her time at Brown University she studied acting and at Juilliard School, after which, her career took off. Within a mere two years after graduation she began her Broadway-based career. In the following year, she made her debut in TV and film. Since then, she has appeared appearing in a variety of films, TV plays and stage productions. In her long professional career, she's received several awards. Some of them comprise two Golden Globe Awards and four Primetime Emmy Awards as well as three Academy Award nominations and five Tony Award nominations. However, despite all the nominations and awards, her enthusiasm for the theatre isn't gone in her, and she continues to perform both onscreen and onstage.
