Amy and Janet

Amy Lou Adams, full name Amy Lou Adams (born 20 August 1974, in Aviano Italy), American actress. She is renowned as a naive character who delight and are adored by people who have read her work. Adams was born to a U.S. Army officer in Italy and grew in Castle Rock Colorado. In the mid-1990s she began acting and dancing professionally with Colorado's Dinner Theatre and the Country Dinner Playhouse in Colorado. After moving to Minnesota, she took part in a mock-documentary film on beauty pageants called Drop Dead Gorgeous (1998). The film was a success and she became a screen star as a funny but dapper contestant, she moved in Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. From June 1951 through September of 1962, she was married to the actor Tony Curtis. She is also the mother of Kelly Curtis & Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh was discovered via actress Norma Shearer Leigh signed a deal with MGM for her first venture as a film actor in the mid 40s. She was in numerous acclaimed films in the next decade, such as Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960) and Living It Up (a Martin and Lewis film from 1954).
